Frequently asked questions

Can I attend the seminar remotely?
Although we won’t be streaming this seminar live, we will be sending out copies of the presentations after the event. Please sign up to receive your copy of the ‘Research Computing Strategy in the World of Cloud’ seminar.

Can I park at the seminar venue? 
Clayton Hotel Birmingham has a special guest parking concession in place with Selfridges Moor Street Car Park at a cost of £14.00 per day.

Can more than one person from my organisation attend?
Yes. We welcome all interested HPC users but request that each person registers for their ticket individually to enable us to anticipate numbers for the event.

Will I have access to Wi-Fi?
Yes, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi which will be available on the day.

Will there be refreshments?
Yes, refreshments will be provided during the course of the day.  We will serve tea/coffee and pastries during our networking time from 9:00-10:00, followed by a mid-morning break with tea/coffee and biscuits. A buffet lunch will be held in the hotel restaurant, finishing with afternoon tea/coffee and biscuits.  Water and soft drinks will be provided throughout the day.

Are you able to cater for any special dietary requirements?
Yes, the hotel can cater for all dietary needs.  Please notify Red Oak of your requirements no later than 14 days prior to the event.

Can I book a room at the seminar venue?
Yes. If you are travelling to our seminar and require overnight accommodation, you can book your stay directly with the Clayton Hotel Birmingham.
